This is what we started with... and
Waterfront as it was when we purchased the property. We have since cut the trees to provide more sunlight and a deck leading to the dock. The stumps have been pulled and the grounds graded. This spring (2007) we will rake and seed.
This is our ski boat for all the watersport activities.
And here is the cottage with acreage behind it.
Here's a view of the the backside. It's very private, only woods around the back with a lot of animals to watch - birds, deer, chipmunk, squirrel, etc.
We love this fireplace.
Do you remember the 1st shot above, it looks like this now. Open view and lots of sun!!! Most of the trees were dead or on there way there and we were able to fill in part of the hole from the old spillway. Yeah it's bare right now, but we'll plant some more.
We'll move the deck now and incorporate it in with the dock.
Well we decided to leave the stand alone deck in place and build deck on steel beams cantilevered over the water.
Here's another shot
You can see the start of the upper deck to be built late July.
This is what it looked like when the trees were cut and yet to fill in. We just put a front door in, June 2007. We're also staining the exterior and the well was completed.
Here are some updated photos - 2007
We now have a golf cart for getting around easily. We also installed the front door and screen and stained the exterior.
It's getting there. Plenty more to do.
Looks so different with the trees gone.
This is our "Welcome" Bear.
This is now what the waterfront lot looks like June 2008.
A little sand and wow, a very nice private beach.
This is our new drive leading to....
The new pole barn and...
... and the rear of the camp. We also moved the small brown deck from the waterfront to add it on this rear deck.
Here is the frame of the upper deck. There will be stairs leading to the lower deck and a mini retaining wall with some flowers and shrubs. I expect to finish this late late August.
And here is the finish product. Yeah the railing isn't symmetrical but we only wanted railing where it, by code, had to be.
Here's a shot of the deck stairs from the dock
The latest shot from the rear. Notice the new slider and windows above. Such a peaceful setting.
And here's a shot from the front with new picture window and windows above.
We now have 3 ATV's with trails over 9 Acres to ride through plus Mom's 57 acres.
